01:50 pm - Lana's Cottage: Saturday afternoon [6-27-09]
Lana had left Sean a message before she'd gone off to see Meg.

She wasn't sure how or if he'd respond, but she tried not to let herself worry too much about things as she organized everything she'd need to leave town. She could have been gone in a matter of minutes if she'd needed to, but it was nice to be able to take some time and make sure it was all the way she wanted it.

She took the time to give Piper and Phoebe a call before taking one last look around to make sure everything was in order. Then she took her book and a drink out to the deck where she could sit and watch her garden for a while.

10:35 am - Lana's Cottage: Wednesday [5-20-09]
He was alive. Thank God. She'd slept well after talking to him for the first time in she didn't know how long - well, yes, she did. Over 2 weeks.

She didn't know how he'd ended up alive again any more than he did, but she couldn't make herself care or worry about that right now.

It was clear and not too hot, so she was busily trying to repair the damage she'd caused to her flower gardens. You might even catch her singing to herself if you happened to stop by.

07:59 pm - Lana's Cottage: Sunset on Thursday [5-14-09]
Lana had pulled herself together enough to go by Meg's new apartment looking for her, but she hadn't found her. And she wasn't quite ready to deal with Sam.

So, she'd gone home, tried to repair the damage to her gardens - not entirely successfully - and eventually given up to just sit on her back deck and stare out into the night.

No drinking. She was afraid if she started down that path, well... It just was better to avoid as much of the self-destructive stuff as she could.

09:16 am - Lana's Cottage: Saturday [5-9-09]
It had been a week. A week since he'd died. She couldn't eat, couldn't sleep, couldn't focus, couldn't anything. And she knew it was completely irrational, but she was furious with him.

He'd said he was different, that she wouldn't lose him, that she was stuck with him, promised he'd never leave her, and even though she'd known they were promises he couldn't keep, words the Universe was sure to ignore, still she was furious that he was gone after all his assurances. And then she hated herself for being mad at him and for letting even a tiny part of herself believe that the Universe would let her keep this one person this one time.

Which might just explain why her attempt at gardening had turned into mass destruction of the flower bed she'd been working on.

God only knew what would be next to go.

06:46 pm - Lana's Cottage: Sunday night [5-3-09]
Lana had been sitting on her back deck since she returned from the clinic, less because she wanted to be sitting outside than that she hadn't been able to make her feet carry her any farther. So she sat there in the gathering dark, staring blindly off into the forest.

He was gone. No, she needed to say it the right way. He was dead. She'd never see him again - never laugh with him or share a beer with him or hug him again. He'd never just show up somewhere with a six-pack and sling an arm around her shoulder and just be there with her again.

She'd never have survived Jim's death without him and she had no idea how she'd manage to survive this. It was just one loss more than she could manage.

09:43 am - Lana's Cottage: Tuesday [4-21-09]
It was a beautiful day - clear and warm, but not too hot. It was inevitable then that Lana could be found outside, up to her elbows in dirt, working on her gardens while Neffie dozed in the sun or chased butterflies.

She had cold drinks handy on the porch for whenever she needed to take a break along with a book and a lawn chair for sunning.

07:24 pm - Lana's Cottage: Thursday Night [1-29-09]
Lana was curled up on the couch waiting for Sean to stop over. They'd planned a movie night and she was looking forward to seeing him again. It had occurred to her that she should have told him to bring over swim trunks so they could use the hot tub. Well, maybe next time.

09:07 am - Lana's Cottage: Thursday [1-22-09]
Lana spent a good chunk of the day cooking to get ready for Dean's birthday dinner tonight. Yeah, she tended to go a bit overboard, but in this case, at least, she figured he wouldn't object to having a bunch of leftovers to bring home with him.

The house was filled with the smells of baking pies.

[ooc: For Dean, but if anyone wants to stop by during the day I've stuck up a thread for that.]

Lana had popcorn and movies all ready to go. All she needed was a certain guest.

03:43 pm - Lana's Cottage: Wednesday afternoon [12-31-08]
Lana'd been kind of lying low over the holidays, but today was clear and sunny, even if it wasn't that warm. So she'd bundled up and was out on the deck with a big mug of tea, a grilled cheese sandwich, and a book, of course.

08:37 am - Lana's Cottage: Tuesday [12-9-08]
Lana woke up dry-mouthed and headachy and lying in a pile of clothes on the lving room floor. She had a vague recollection of Meg stopping by and her rambling off randomly about stupid things. She groaned and covered her head and hoped the whole thing would turn out to be just a dream.

She'd get up in a little bit and start the whole sorting process again, but right now she just needed to lie here for a while.

05:02 pm - Lana's Cottage: Monday Night [12-8-08]
After work Lana went home, made a little dinner, then started hauling boxes into the living room. This was going to take a while, but it was time to do it and she didn't have anywhere to be till work next Monday. Which meant she could take as long as she wanted and get as drunk as she needed to while doing it. It's not like anyone would miss her and if they did, it's not like she was going anywhere. They could find her here.

So... beer to start out with and she'd see if she wanted to up the ante later.

She put on some music, took a deep breath, and opened the first box.

[Open if anyone wants to stop by and help or interrupt.]

07:56 am - Tying up loose ends: Lana's Cottage Thursday [12-4-08]
It was way past time for this. Way past time for a lot of things, but since the lease on Jim's apartment in Cascade was up at the end of the month, she got all her courage together and made a phone call. )

More boxes coming her way. Which meant she ought to start dealing with those now too.

God, she needed a drink.

08:56 am - Home Again: Wednesday Mid-day [12-3-08]
After a night spent mostly sitting on the tub of Jim's stuff and leaning up against the wall she'd cleaned as best she could, Lana took her things, hailed a cab and headed back to the ferry.

She'd arrived back in Milieux about mid-day and somehow managed to drag the huge tub back to the cottage where she abandoned her bag and Jim's stuff, stripped off and went to take a very long hot shower until she felt clean again. Then she got into comfortable clothes, made herself a hot cup of tea, and curled up on the couch to stare at the large blue plastic container. After a bit she roused herself enough to make two calls, the first to Dean so he wouldn't go off looking for her in vain and the other to Meg so she wouldn't worry.

Then she went back to sitting and staring blankly.

08:58 pm - The Hummingbird Grill: New Orleans Tuesday Night [12-2-08]
Lana, or rather Leah, had successfully retrieved Jim's truck from long term parking at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport. And she'd managed to negotiate the fees down to a mere $1000. 93 days at $13 a day certainly adds up.

She'd found a place that would take Jim's truck off her hands and had managed not to completely embarrass herself by crying in front of them. She'd packed his personal items - more than she'd anticipated - in a plastic tub she'd bought at a nearby store

She'd forgotten that she didn't have a credit card in Leah's name and had a bit of trouble finding a place that didn't require one. She finally ended up at The Hummingbird Grill. The rooms were very run down and not terribly clean, but for about 30 dollars cash she had a room for the night. She kept her gun close at hand as the entire place scared her more than a little. Still she'd be out early in the morning and on her way back to Milieux, right?

All that taken care of, she'd sat on the tub of Jim's belongings - by far the cleanest seat in the room - and let herself finally break down.

[OOC: NFB due to distance. Establishy, but open for calls should any be inclined.]

10:43 pm - Lana's cottage: Thanksgiving Night [11-27-08]
Lana was curled up on the chair on the porch, wrapped warmly in a blanket and once again watching the skies. She couldn't quite seem to catch that elusive first star, always either having run in for a second or caught herself staring off into space as the sky darkened into true night.

Still, the stars were comforting and made her feel a little less lonely and the cup of hot chocolate and the blanket were enough to keep her warm, so she planned to stay out here until she was too tired to stay awake any longer. Who knew? Maybe she might even see a shooting star.

06:19 pm - Lana's Cottage: Early Evening [11-26-08]
Lana was out on her steps again, hoping once more to catch that elusive first star as it appeared.

Today she was more prepared with a cup of tea and a light sweater if it got cold. She still looked a bit scratched up from yesterday's endeavors, but her day had been more contemplative than active. Which, given how sore she was, had probably been a good choice.

05:36 pm - Lana's Cottage: Tuesday early evening [11-25-08]
Lana was feeling incredibly raw between Meg's condition and her terrible encounter with Dean and what had happened two years ago on Thanksgiving back in Smallville.

She'd spent the day mostly hidden away at the back of the cottage gardening till she was exhausted in a place where if she stopped and hid her face from time-to time, no one would know. She'd finally had to stop, hands blistered and arms scratched from the wild area she'd tried to clear, and now she sat out on the steps of the cottage watching the sky start the turn from day to night.

Maybe if she waited for the exact moment the first star appeared and made a wish she could wish everything better.

05:07 pm - Lana's Cottage: Sunday night [11-23-08]
After cleaning up the Leaf and getting it all set to reopen tomorrow morning, Lana headed home to put her feet up and wait for Meg to stop by. And after hearing the news last night about a John talking with Sam and Mary and then a Winchester-Campbell meeting afterwards, she wouldn't be surprised to have a Dean show up at some point, too. And if he didn't she supposed she'd have to go looking for him.

But, first things first... Meg had something important to tell her that she didn't want overheard, so Lana was preparing herself for whatever it might be.

[ooc: That Meg stopped by is fine for broadcast, but not any details, please.]

04:03 pm - Antebellum Arms: Wednesday Evening [10-29-08]
"It shouldn't take more than a couple of hours," Lana said. "Hopefully not even that much."

She'd gathered together boxes and garbage bags, collected the key from the office, and now was, well... procrastinating on the actual going in part. "I'm not really sure how much stuff he has here, I mean, he pretty much stayed most of the time at my house, but he had everything here. I think so I wouldn't feel pressured about anything, you know?"

Yeah, still not quite turning the key in the lock there.

[For one, though if someone else had reason to be by...]
